The new design split the public facing components from the mechanical components allowing logistics and maintenance to be dramatically improved.

The main body utilised an injection moulded material used and proven in the automotive industry for replacing metal components.

Numerous stress analysis simulations were undertaken to minimise risk of failure in real world situations, supported and conducted by EMS Grivory (a world leader in composite materials),

The final production solution superseded all client requirements and is still manufactuered and supplied by my previous company.

This project demonstrates how successful management of a design team, material specialist, and the production supply chain can deliver a solution that with minimal effort, can improve client sales, lower product costs, and reduce maintenance time out in the field. Additionally, sometimes the solution you need is already in existence and used in a different industry making your project quicker and more cost effective.
